Tomato Question
Hello!
I was just out poking around in my new SFGs, and I noticed to my surprise that one of my tomato plants has a flower! Should I pinch it off to encourage overall growth? These guys have only been in the ground for about a week, purchased at the local farmers market.
If it matters, it's either a Taxi or Sun Gold-- The tag in the plant was for a Taxi, but they had crossed it out and written Sun Gold... But I'm suspicious... so I'm going to wait and see what comes out!
Thanks!

Re: Tomato Question
For what it's worth, last year I bought some distressed long lanky Sungolds w/ flowers and planted them in my SFG using the lay me down method. They grew to at least 14 feet and we had so dang many tomatoes. But the first tomatoes from those first few flowers never ripened. *shrug* Don't know if that will happen to yours but if you know how to use green toms then it doesn't matter.

Re: Tomato Question
LSchmidt....I'd leave the blossoms as is. It won't affect the overall growth of your tomato plant this early in the season. And it might be your first tomato of the season that you can shout about.
