Look what Rabbit Poo can do!
I wanted to share some pics of my lettuce plants. I made my MM with only 4 composts because thats all I could find at the time, and one of them was worm casings.
After reading on the forums how much everybody liked rabbit poo... I found some organic poo on ebay, of all places.
These 2 lettuce pots were planted at the same time in the same mix, but one seemed to be doing much better than the other. I added RP about a week ago to the plant on the right... and look at all the new green growth
After pic... lots of new growth on right
This pic is from a week before adding the rabbit poo. The pot in question is now on the left.
I really like this stuff! BTW... it was uncomposted pellets.

How long are you going to let that beautiful lettuce grow? Eat it!
Poo from ebay - now that's dedication to your SFG!

Re: Look what Rabbit Poo can do!
LOL... I've been eating the lettuce... it just keeps growing! I only take a few leaves at a time from the outside, from the big plants
I used ebay as a last resort because I dont have any rabbit poo nearby and I'd have to drive about an hour to a farm, so I figured, what the heck. I either had to pay shipping or gas. I had to hide that purchase from the husband

You know, I would really like that. They're very gentle and fluffy creatures. But I live in a community where we cant have farm animals outside, and I already have 2 cats inside that love to hunt . Aren't rabbits happier outdoors anyway?

Cheers back to you, Bob At least you have options with that pen. It's very odd to like poo... but I really like rabbit poo! I had some Hen poo mixed in my original MM but the rabbit poo really appears to be like rocket fuel, as I believe Plantoid said.

Re: Look what Rabbit Poo can do!
Ok so now that we pretty mush ascertained that rabbit poo is great for the garden, my next ? Is what about the pee part of the waste ? I have the lumber to built a rabbit hutch and what I was thinking of doing was making some sort of catch pan under it so it falls in a tub to carry and put on the garden. Can they both be put in the garden or do I need to devise a way to drain off the pee and jus use the poo ? Any thoughts or advice on this ??
