can't find indeterminate tomatos in utah.

I have gone to many places looking for indeterminate tomatos in utah. I can't find any. the helpers do not know what they are. I'm sure they have them, but the labels do not say what kind they are. Do any of you know where to find them and the names of the types? please help.

I just did a google search, and here's a few varieties I came up with:

Beafsteak
Big Boy
Brandywine
Celebrity
Early Girl
Beef Master
most "cherry"
types
most heirloom varieties

You can order the best tomato plants online at territorial seed company. This is the second year I have ordered them and they are great! They have many many varieties!

Wow... that's a twist. Around here you'd be hard pressed to find a determinate variety as everyplace (including Lowe's & Home Depot) carry indeterminate varieties - and around here it's written on the label. Strange. :suspect:

For determinates look for Celebrity or Cherry
The most common indeterminates I see are Better Boy, Big Beef, Jet Star and GOliath

Most tomatoes are indeterminate. The exceptions are some of the newer hybrids and most of the canning or paste tomatoes (like Roma). Look at the tags and see how tall they are supposed to get and if staking is recommended. If they get 4' or more and need staking, then they will be indeterminate. The determinate are sometimes labelled as bush tomatoes. Your nursery needs to do a better job of educating their sales personnel. can't find indeterminate tomatos in utah. Icon_eek

I got several packets this year and the only way I could tell they were indeterminate is that the package stated "vining" type.
Those are indeterminates

Oregon Spring is a determinate.
