Hi from Wisconsin
Hi, my name is Tanya, and I've been lurking, scouring through the photos and posts. I'm totally addicted to my new square foot beds, and sadly, it's just too soon to do anymore with them. I am watering my spinach, peas, swiss chard seeds every day, and anxiously awaiting a safer time to plant the carrots, radishes, and all the rest of the stuff. It's just a bit too early to risk planting anything more, maybe in another week or two, I'll risk it, however, I've known it to freeze for more than a night at this point in the year.
Anyway, it's been great to find a whole group of people who love to garden and find Mel's book and method addicting. I can't wait to see how it works for me.

Hi Tanya
So are you a zone 4 gardener? Dont' forget to check out the regional thread as well.
We've had temps well above avg here in MN, so I bravely planted a few things, too. But I am also holding off for higher temps. None of my friends have planted anything yet, so I'm a little ahead of the game as long as the weather cooperates!
Good luck with everything.

Hey!!! Another Ta(on)nya!!
I'm zone 5a, in the Milwaukee area. I've never actually started ANYthing this early, but I'm thinking that it's going to be better than alright, even though I'm a bit scared. I just wish we could trust this beautiful rash of weather.

Re: Hi from Wisconsin
Welcome Tanya
I have a daughter in Wheatland, WI. Her husband is a row gardener and I'm trying to convert him!
Do you think that will ever happen?
This is the most active forum I've ever seen. If you post a question you will frequently have an answer from somebody within hours if not minutes. I hope you will look into the Northern & Central Midwest Regional Forum below. There are many WI SFGers there.
Today I feel like I live in Alaska, it's sooooo cold here after several days of 60's and 70's.
Happy gardening.

Welcome!
Welcome Tanya! I am new here too. I am over in MN, SE corner. I am one of the brave ones in that I threw some seeds out in my SFG that maybe shouldn't be out yet. I am on the border of 4a/4b so north of you. I figure it is only a few seeds, easy to replace if they don't make it yet. ![Hi from Wisconsin Icon_lol](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_lol.gif)

Hello from Milwaukee!
Hi Tanya. I am right here in Milwaukee, setting up my first SFG, and am happy to hear from another Milwaukeean! Totally new at this - just have one 4x4 plot for now. We have been getting a few cold nights lately! What is your favorite garden center? I am still learning where to go and am wondering if there are better options than Steins. Best wishes for your garden!
