My 2012 Garden
Just a few pics of my garden. It's taken me 6 years to get to this point...and I learned a LOT and am still learning. We have watermelon and cucs (growing upwards on the fences) melons (will gorw them upwards next year), 7 varieties of tomatos (several at 6' tall now and all producing tons of little green tomatos), pole beans, celery, starwberries, 7 varieties of peppers (both hot and sweet. We found some Ghost peppers and have 3 of them, as the DH likes his hot), corn (most are almost 7' tall now) and potatos (suprise crop as they were left over from 2 years ago, figure that out!) and various herbs. I also added grapes, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries to various areas of the yard.
I finally got the walkways mulched this year (no more mud!) And new gates were put up lovingly by DH and my teenage son a few weeks ago.
The front gate with tomatos in view...cucs and watermelon are to the left.
The cucs (now over the fence) and watermelon
View looking straight into garden from front gate. More cucs on trellis on left, peppers, strawberry bed, melon bed, pepper bed, compost and corn to right.
View from corn back toward the front gate
Around corner with corn on left and herb beds on right
View of back gate looking towards the corn and potatos. I LOVE my new gates!
A few of the goodies collected so far. Suprise potatos, green beans, cucs, cherry tomatos and eggs from our girls.
The girls - left to right - Delawares -Rosie and Pru / Buff Chantelars - Claire and Olga. We're also getting 2 Coronation Sussex pullets in the next couple of weeks!
Fresh pickled eggs - HOT eggs

Re: My 2012 Garden
Oh wow! So glad you shared pictures of your garden. Looks like you've really taken advantage of every nook and cranny and have a well organized and bountiful garden. Love it! Congratulations!
Re: My 2012 Garden
Thank you! The only down fall is that the walk ways are just too narrow...but DH "knew" better. LOL
My pole beans have even taken over the extension ladders on the privacy fence...saves from buying more trellis /fence!
Getting the wheel barrow past the corn is terrible and my tomatos have over grown into the walk way as well...but I can deal with it for now. Will be making some changes next year on where things are planted and how close to the walk ways!

Re: My 2012 Garden
That is awesome! I have to say though, it seems like it would hard for the plants to get enough sun, with the sides having walls. But everything seems to be growing like gangbusters! Beautiful! I only hope I can do as well.
