One Bed Planted
Today I planted my first bed - the smaller of the two I have (3x6). (the second bed needs more mel's mix)
I transplanted four squares of Brussels sprouts, two squares of kale, two of leaf lettuce and one of spinach.
I also seeded three squares of peas, two of Swiss chard, two of carrots and two squares of onion sets.
I also made a potato bed, using the cinderblocks I had picked up, and then not used. I'm not using mel's mix for the potatoes... I'm using plain soil mixed with leaf humus. I'm putting in my seed potatoes tomorrow. I have Kennebunk and Sangre de Cristos, and I may also pick up some fingerlings, since the bed is 32" square, and there's plenty of space.
So now I really feel like I've gotten started!
