For the first time since moving into our new house (and taking my SFGs with me...what a pain!) I finally got out there are got some seeds planted! Now if I only knew what I planted where Rolling Eyes I wrote out a nice seed map and was even congratulating myself on following it...until I realized I wasn't! Oh, well, I have a pretty good idea of what's in most of the 32 squares I have ready...and hopefully I'll be able to figure it all out once they start coming up. Planted peas, beans, broccoli, swiss chard, carrots, turnips, and I think I managed not to plant the cauliflower, green onions, and cilantro that I meant to plant.

Getting a bit of a late start on a few things, but after the year we've had I've stopped believing in cold, lol. Still firmly in the 90s and just thankful to have left 100 behind (knock on wood!).

Still have a 2x10 bed to set up, fill, and moisten as well as my 4x4 squash bed. Have started tomatoes and peppers inside to put in my various pots. I can bring those indoors on frost nights come January, so hopefully I can grow them through the winter.

Feels good to get in the dirt again and I can't wait to see the first "babies" of the season sprout. It's been a long time since I started pulling up my plants in anticipation of the move.

Congrats, elliephant! Isn't planting things FUN!!! I added 3 new beds and planted them recently. I have lots of young plants and enjoy looking at them soooo much. First time for lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, Swiss Chard, turnips, collards, kohlrabi - I even have one tiny cabbage plant that's come up!

I'm a very happy sfg camper right now!!! Glad you're able to enjoy your gardening again!

First sprouts up this morning, both indoors in vermiculite (peppers and tomatoes that I will plant in pots that can come in as needed) and out in the garden (turnips). 95 today, but nothing else above 92 in the 10 day forecast, so I'm really beginning to believe that Fall is finally here! Wednesday it's supposed to be 85/55 What a Face brrrrrr!
