Two surprises I found today
This one I am NOT happy with since it is just one MORE pest to deal with, he is "daddy groundhog and is H.U.G.E:
I feel sorry for him because I think he was attacked or hit by a car because he is lamed in his back right haunch. DH wanted to take care of him "hunter's style"...
I'll get a giant cage.
Now, this is a hilarious find...
Why is it so funny? Because I didn't plant these this year.... I planted carrots LAST year but i didn't think any of them grew, and there was just one little area that i didnt get a chance to turn over. Well, I guess once it got warm again they decided it was time to start growing again. Haahaahaa. I think I'm going to ACTUALLY start planting carrots next week.

Re: Two surprises I found today
I had the same problem with my carrots. This spring though, there they were. They were really pretty too, those purple ones. I was so unhappy they didn't grow last year. I honestly think its my clay soil, I cant wait to try them in the Mel's mix. Cute bugger your groundhog. Too bad he eats plants.
