It's so hot, I just saw two trees fighting over a dog!
It's so hot, I sat down and thought I smelled bacon!

It's so hot that I'm packing the car for cooler pastures and put a "Death Valley or Bust" sign in the back window! (Heat index 115°).

It's so hot outside, it doesn't matter which knob I turn on the faucet, I get hot water both ways!

Full disclosure: I don't have a goat, I just got to thinking about cheese...

These are some of my favorite Texasisms (yes that is an actual word).
You Know You're in Texas When...
You can say 110 degrees without fainting...
You eat hot chilies to cool your mouth off...
...You can make instant sun tea...
You learn that a seat belt makes a pretty good branding iron...
The temperature drops below 95, you feel a bit chilly...
You discover that in July, it takes only 2 fingers to drive your car...
You discover that you can get a sunburn through your car window...
You notice the best parking place is determined by shade instead of distance...
Hot water now comes out of both taps...
It's noon in July, kids are on summer vacation, and not one person is out on the streets...
You actually burn your hand opening the car door...
You break a sweat the instant you step outside...at 7:30 a.m. before work...
No one would dream of putting vinyl upholstery in a car or not having air conditioning...
Your biggest bicycle wreck fear is, "What if I get knocked out and end up lying on the pavement and cook to death"?...
You realize that asphalt has a liquid state...
Got these here, there are more Texasisms there.

I love these! Several years ago in CA my BIL gave himself 2nd degree burns on the bottom of his feet because he didn't take his flipflops to wear walking (hopping?) home from the public pool (he was dropped off) - it was 112 that day.....

Back when I rode a bike I used to have to pour water over the seat this time of year to avoid a most unfortunate burn. Found that out the hard way
My brother says he knows summer is here if he forgets his coffee in the car and when he goes back to get it, it's hotter than before.

We are having a heat wave! Today it should reach 17°C. Yes that is 62.6°F to you non-metric folk. This is HOT
I'm talking icecream and summer dress hot.
I'm planning on hitting the sunbed as soon as I've done the stuff I need to do. We don't get many days like this.

It's all a matter of perspective, isn't it?!

It's all a matter of perspective, isn't it?!When I lived in California, I was FREEZING if it got below 60F. Now, as long as it is above 0 I don't even bother warming up the car! At 40F I start singing about summer with the windows rolled down...

My kids are like that. When it's February and we have a 60° day, they want to play in the sprinklers outside. When it's July and a cold front moves through bringing 70° weather, they want their winter coats.
Me? I don't acclimate to the weather. 44° is always perfect, 82° is always miserable.

Perspective is funny that way. I have a friend from Anchorage, and he thought 70 was swimming weather the first spring he moved here. We looked at him like he'd been released from the loony bin. He didn't wear a coat all winter.....even in single digit temps/windchills. He looked at US like we were released from the loony bin.
Oh, but 6 years later, he's still here. He likes 4 seasons instead of two.

It's so hot that a scalding shower cools you down.
Re: It's so hot outside today..........How, hot is it?.......
My family knew it was hot yesterday. This mom actually got in a swimming pool (first time in years since i've been in a swimming pool) felt like bathwater and they were all complaining it was too hot! I'm screaming " OMG , this feels great!!!!"
my background: I wear jeans in 80 degree weather and don't break a sweat. I wear long john's 6-7 months a year (depending on the weather) I am officially a cold blooded mammal!!! and I don't take any meds to make me this way!
