My first ever garden plan for 2012
Here is a link to the plans of my garden.
http://www.smartgardener.com/gardens/28548-debbies-garden-emo-ontario/plan
I am a zone 3 and East is the top of my garden. I am having troubles not overthinking the "staking or trellising" part of this garden. I was wondering if any of you folks could offer any suggestions. I am not sure what sort of support would be a good first time try for the cukes, tomatoes, peppers, peas or beans. I have my fingers crossed that I can get some suggestions. I think I still have lots of time, but having things in place would help me sleep better.....I hope I haven't confused myself or anyone else for that matter by what I just said.
hopeless in Ontario, but SO FLIPPIN EXCITED to get started.
P.S....I have Mels book on the way, but for now....please help!!
Debbie.

Hi Debora,
I couldn't view your garden plan but I can share my plans for trellising on my sfg plots. Mel recommends using 1/2inch electrical conduit and securing them to the ground using rebar stakes. He also mentioned nylon mesh that has 5 in openings but I don't know if I can find that. I think any good nylon mesh will support your veggies. Good luck and happy gardening!

I'm so sorry it can't be viewed, I didn't know you had to log in...I'll try and find a way to copy and paste, or draw it up somehow, then remove that darn link. Yours and every one else's opinion are greatly appreciated.

Look forward to seeing your plan Debbie! Always good to remember that with gardening even when you do everything "right" sometimes things just don't turn out the way you expected.
