2012 Garden Plan
Drew up the plan for the garden. It will be a 3x6, with gutters attached as an herb garden. Guttering because it floods here at a minimum of 3 times a year so might as well keep the herbs up & out just like the TTG.
Any suggestions, imput, etc is greatly appreciated.

Rhianna,
it seems this link is to your FaceBook page and the access is limited. I was unable to see your plan.
I believe you could change the privacy setting on this one item to public so those of us that are not your "friends" can still see it.

I can see the layout, but not the abbreviations. Can you fill us in? Or scan it then repost?

Re: 2012 Garden Plan

Okay, 3rd time's the charm?? I hope. Sorry its scanned sideways, my scanner and I don't always see eye-to-eye.
The abbreviations are as follows:
Bo - Borage
Nas - Nasturtrium
Le - Lettuce
Ra - Radish
Pea - Peas
Po - Potato
Ok - Okra
Eg - Eggplant
Ca - Carrot
On - Onion
Pe - Pepper (Sweet Bell types)
T - Tomato
Ce - Celery
Sq - Squash (1st Summer, then Winter ones)
Me - Melon
Cu - Cucumber
Cab - Cabbage
Sp - Spinach
Br - Broccoli
The scale is 4cm = 1ft
Everything else should be readable but if not let me know.

Thanks for bearing with me as I attempt to get this right.

Re: 2012 Garden Plan
I just lost my post to you! AARGH!
Go here (companion plants) and it will help you sort out what goes with what.
Your plans look good, but too crowded. I did the same thing, and had to rework my original plans. I love that you are interplanting.
Consider heights and form of plants row by row (and edging boxes). Put trellising plants together (toms, squash, melons, and maybe EP?).
Consider root depth for each square. Something deep with corners of something shallow works well. Broccoli and garlic but not broccoli and carrots.
Consider planting types together - it makes it easier for companion planting.
Wish I could give you more details ~
