Hello from s/w Kansas
Hi, Nin here. Not sure if I am in the right place, our garden is more like 1/4 acre. Who knows might still be able to learn something or meet new friends!

Nin!
Are you interested in Square Foot Gardening? It allows you to grow more in less space with less work and is the method described by Mel Bartholomew in his 2006 book All New Square Foot Gardening! It is the method that this forum has been designed to support.
You might also like to read some of the posts in your regional forum about topics particular to your region.
Again, welcome!

You can get the same production from that 1/4 acre in 1/20th of an acre. Then just build a pool in the rest since you will be doing less than half the work!
Go to the web page and read the brochure. Go to the library and get the book. You will be SO glad you did. And yes, there are many friends to be had here. We are gardeners after all. But we are niche gardeners and we know a secret. You are working too hard!

Thanks for the replies! Please don't be dissappointed if I just don't jump in with both feet right away. I know there are some things I will pickup along the way. Please understand my sweet potato patch covers 1/20th of a acre and work in the garden is what I do(if you can believe it) to relax when I get done with work. Hope y'all have a great day and Happy Gardening!!!
