Great Luck with Carrots in the Fall
I planted carrots last fall, about September 1, and had great results. I used a variety called 2X4, which can get to be over 10 inches long. I pulled them up when about 8 inches or less, and they were delicious. They were very sweet and tasty. The trick is to keep them constantly moist, especially during the germination phase. I have some in my SFG now, and they are doing fine. We used the foliage in a stir fry, and they too were good, although a little stringy. I had no problems with insects.
The foliage is very beautiful. It looks ferny, and can grow up to 12 inches tall.

Congrats, I've never heard of that variety. Where did you purchase them?

I bought them at WalMart, I think.
