Brick vs Wood
Has anyone had any experience using this type of Brick for the raised bed walls. Any idea where to buy them.

Re: Brick vs Wood
this concrete block might work but the openings in the top look way too small to plant.
regular concrete cinder blocks are probably cheaper and more readily available.

But I believe Yolos was talking about using them for the walls, not as planters.

Re: Brick vs Wood
I believe those are compressed earth blocks that usually you make yourself. The blocks are cheap but the press to make them is expensive.

Re: Brick vs Wood
from the dimensions, it would take 40 blocks to do a 4x4 bed two courses high...that would be $10...not bad. If they are a pressed brick, I would be concerned about life span with water absorption.
