This deserves a recycling award!
A shoe organizer! This pic was sent to me by a new member, peanutgallery. She snapped this pic on a recent trip to Oregon.

peanutgallery what a great find! Thanks for sharing it with us! I bet that would look great with wave petunias in it too, you would have a wall of flowers!

Recycling into a vertical garden
That's great! This person in Oregon is taking Square FOOT Gardening to the next level!
It reminded me of an article I read on vertical farming. A place in El Paso, TX, is using a very similar hanging system 'en masse.' Here's the link: http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1865974,00.html

Re: This deserves a recycling award!
You're welcome. But you know what has to happen now, don't you?
- Spoiler:
- We want to see your SFG! :lolsignwave:
Re: This deserves a recycling award!
If you're going to say that I need to put up pics of my SFG, you're right! I was waiting to get all of my seedlings in the boxes first. And thanks to a surprise visit from my mother, it all got done today!
We finished too late to get any decent shots, but you can bet I'm going to jump out of bed early tomorrow to enjoy all of our hard work in its morning glory.
Question though, I should start a new thread for that, right? How do I do that? I tried once before and was "not allowed" for some reason.

LOL You must be a mind reader! Because it sounds like you didn't click on the word 'spoiler' in my post, which will produce a drop down box!trukrebew wrote:If you're going to say that I need to put up pics of my SFG,
Yes, please start another thread for your pictures. I don't know for sure why you were 'not allowed', but let me know if it happens again so we can figure out what's going on. Let's put your pictures in the 'Showcase of Gardens' forum here.
Click where indicated, and you'll get a post text edit box.
Here's hoping for nice picture weather in the morning
Pictures of my SFG!
Ok, I posted my pictures on the thread below without any trouble. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, Boffer. You truly are an asset to us newbies.
