Beautiful garden - the vegetables look great!
Your cherries brought back memories for me. When I was a little girl, my grandparents had 2 cherry trees that we picked and of course ate as many as possible!
Happy Gardening Everyone....

Great photos
Your garden looks great. How many years have you been doing this?
I think your pollinator insect could be a cabbage moth. Keep a good check on your broccoli and other cole crops for those horrible little green worms. Once the moths show up in my garden it isn't long until their offspring start doing their damage.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks...This is my first year...so far so good. I kept a good eye on that butterfly...did not go anywhere near the broccolli. It only wanted to get near the flowers on the strawberries (I lifted the chicken wire cage so it could get to the flowers). As soon as it was done, it flew away across the yard.
I check the garden for pests 2x per day. Had a few cabbage worms a few weeks ago, but none since. But will not let my guard down.
Happy Gardening!!
Pete

What a great find those cherry trees are. When we moved to our 100+ year old farmhouse, it had been empty for several years. I found so many goodies that first summer, tiger lilies, cherry trees, highbush cranberries, rugosa roses, columbine, raspberries and strawberries. It as been a lot of work getting everything back to a manageable state, but it has been worth it!

Funny thing is, this is not our first year in the house. Just never noticed the cherries before. Was out mowing the lawn and one fell and hit me on the head. Maybe I am related to Isaac Newton!!
