Anyone have any idea what size squirrel could do this? And what it must be eating?

Re: Where to start.
Jennifer,
Your response garnered quite a laughing howl from me (home with pneumonia)!
Just this morning, my 15-lb Maine Coon mix begged (again!) to go out in the rain. She galloped out, and I briefly saw a HUGE golden-brown squirrel on the fence. The cat scared it away.
I've seen some pretty large squirrels here, but this one was a monster! And probably the culprit who burried that 9-oz. pine cone.

donnainzone10,
Feel better soon. Pneumonia is nothing to take lightly. Sending you some virtual chicken soup.

Re: Where to start.
Furbalsmom,
Thanks for your good wishes!
Fortunately, this is a relatively mild case, so far. Still, I'm so drained that it takes a bit of energy to contemplate planting some radish and spinach seeds. I did start some tomato seeds indoors today. I have to thank that cat (Bijou) for protecting the yard.
By the way, I'll be moving to the PNW sometime this fall.

Corn?
Can you grow corn with SFG? I can't find any info on the subject.

Re: Where to start.
This is my plan. Its multiyear. Start from the middle (well leaving a spot for the strawberries) and working my way out. I decided to put it in theback of the house in a pool area that is not a pool anymore so the ground is flat. North is at the top of the picture assuming I can get the picture up here.
