my sweet husband
We are re-doing our sfg. We used the old recipe with sand in it, and have had such a hard time. My sweet husband dug all the soil out, and lined the boxes and dumped in Mel's Mix from Lowes. It looks great! We have 10 boxes total, but just re-did two of them for now to see if we get better results. While he was digging, we heard a "thump". Went over to our trellis area and a cantaloupe had fallen off. Mel says they're ready when they "slip" off of the vine, and this one slipped! We cut it open and boy!! it was sooo good! It's nice to have a loving husband!!

Southern Gardener, you are going to have such a good time with the proper MM and I agree, you have a sweet husband. Treasure him.
