Bakersfield, along San Gabriel Mountains to San Bernardino and into
Baja. (The desert portions east of San Bernardino and south of the
Salton Sea and El Centro, are considered part of the Southwestern
Deserts region)
Gardening
season; described as Eden, famous for year-round growing climate. Heat
is moderated by breezes from the ocean and drying warm winds from
inland areas.
