Awesome!!! How big of a garden do you have for strawberries/ how many plants?

Looks great, a little almond milk, honey, ice and a blender and I'd be a happy guy!

That would be me with store bought berries, but fresh from a warm garden, what would the almond milk, honey and ice be needed for? Yummy....though I take your point.

I have no idea how many plants there are. I never replant. I do clean up the patch and try to corral them! Strawberries can go anywhere! They are in a bed that is about 6' wide and 10'+ long (hubby better at saying the size rofl) raised bed.

He will have a railroad down the middle later this year rofl.. so I will
be able to reach in from each side easier! He gets about a foot out of
the middle, maybe a little more.

Rofl..I was to post pictures of the strawberries in this town SOMEONE would come and tear into them. We have a terrible time with people thinking if they can get to them they can have them! We are even going to have to fence in our rhubarb! Went out again today and someone had tore up an area and left the leaves lying on the grass. I was only gone from home an hour! I share if they ask! Really p*** me off!

Long rive from WU to ?? you are at but I have a dual residency here and Des Moines so look ooout strawberries. I throw out a more or less public invitation for the town to harvest my rhubarb and a few do some even pull the seed pods and clean up for others, how nice when I am only here part time. Some are designated to harvest asparagus or strawberries too. But that don't always work out they seem to want it delivered too. Boy does that make gardening tough. The only problem I have is the next door neighbors drug infested friends rip off my melons or whatever meets their fancy if I'm not around. However the usual small town nosiness quickly gives me full details. This year I am growing butternut where melons usually are hoping they get real disappointed when they turn out not to be melons. The melons are at the far side where they will not have the gumption to venture. Luckily they will sone be gone. Because of the railroad track project in your pictures my guess is you live somewhere in Amtrak land along 34. I love Waverly and Wartburg a fine town and a fine College.

Rofl..I live in Chariton, right in the middle of Highway 34 and yup Amtrak goes through. Hubby has a 1/22 scale model railroad "G scale" in the back yard. The part of the brick work past the strawberry bed will be Strawberry Point with a strawberry farm and harvesting facility and a tunnel and I don't know what all else he has planned lol..His railroad is an ongoing hobby.

Section 1 with town and train station and farm

Strawberries!!! Dscn3713

section 2 with work yard

Strawberries!!! Dscn3714

The brick area is section 3

Now he is working on the landscaping.
As long as he stays away from my garden we don't have a problem. Twisted Evil

I can't just let everyone help themselves because I found people were picking ALL the rhubarb and selling it!

A gun or ammo is not required to run an add. I have burglar alarm stickers in every window and no alarm system. I do keep guns in some windows and ammo too but that is a scarecrow to keep the DW's family out since felons and parolees cant legally come in then. So far works like a charm. You said what about strawberries.

Ooooh, I'd love to have a garden railroad in my yard. You are so lucky. I think its a great hobby and keeps the couple at home and doing things together. Keep posting pictures please. I want to see it as it progresses.

As for the strawberries, do you have berries yet?
My blossoms are now beginning to form into the green nubs of berries.
I think it might be time to cover with netting so this year I get them instead of the birds.

Enjoy your garden.
