I cleaned out the boxes today of everything that had been planted in 2010 - almost. Below are the results.

These are onions, garlic, about three squares of carrots and a few sad beets. crop rotation - Last of spring crop 5_may_12

I have one 4X4 just for my soul. I planted a variety of flowers last spring and when they died I pulled them out. Then I just let it be and am being rewarded with no work whatsoever with the self seeded next generation. And I love my poppies.crop rotation - Last of spring crop 5_may_13

Chopper, your poppies are gorgeous! I love that photo of the single poppy! The color is beautiful and the paper thin petals are fabulous.

It actually means that I am willing to forgo depression and imminent eviction and go with hope instead. The move date is probably now end of summer so I decided to get back out to the garden, clean up and plant. LOL. Luckily we had such a rainy winter/spring that everything was in great shape.

I love the poppies too. This is from one of those mixed seed mats planted last spring. Next time I am adding some red poppies. They are always so pretty.

I received one of these this year but I was a little too skeptical to do the work to put it down... Now seeing the beautiful results I have a project for after work! :o)
