NCAA basketball starts today..
Who's your favorite? Who's your Cinderella?
Gee, I wonder who I root for...
Although, I think Missouri could be a sleeper this year. And, you have no idea how against my religion that is to admit.

I'm not a basketball fan at all in any way shape or form. But it's been interesting here in my hubby's family. There's UNC and Duke fans, so this last weekend was quite funny.
I'm an F1 fan, Football fan, and Olympic fan. As well as Volleyball, but you can never find that on TV.

Basketball?...Isn't that where tall people run around in their underwear and throw a round ball at a fruit basket hanging on the wall?
Re: NCAA basketball starts today..
Well, I (as ususal) have to pin all my hopes on my husbands team (KState). My Huskers, alas, got beaten by the Weeshocks badly so it appears that "wheat" beats "corn" in the battle of the grains at the NIT.
I frankly am not a big basketball fan (not much point in NE) but the bracket stuff is kind of fun. I pick mine by who I want to win, not who I actually think is going to win!

Awesome. I knew we had a few either paying attention or forced to pay attention after someone hijacked the remote for a few days.
I'm a KU/MU guy....my wife went to Mizzou. However, I love the UNC/Duke games, too. Your house must be similar to mine when the families get at it. Great theater imo. And, all fun, no real bad blood exchanges hands.....in our house anyway.
Boff, you must have old pics of my boy Dr. Naismith's gym classes. LOL.
I wish I could sympathize, smartchick, but I suppose this is where our friendship parts ways. I have a good friend that married a KStater and they have that purple monstrosity flying in their front yard as we speak. I wanted so badly to put a KU sticker on it just for fun. And, I have another good friend that is a huge Husker fan. We give him a lot of trouble, but he really is a great guy. And, he has mentioned how good you guys are in volleyball, too.
Have fun getting the gardens planned and dirt on your hands, guys. But, I'm gonna be watching some hoops after I wet my plants for today.
Whoever you root for, or whoever your family roots for, I hope they do well.

I am not a big fan but my bracket was filled out Monday. Go Huskies! Although I am a fan I don't have them advancing past sweet sixteen. It's the Buckeye's for home state rooting for me. I couldn't face all my Ohio rellos if I didn't root for them.
Sorry BackYard/Kansas I have you in the final but alas the Buckeyes take you down.
I am a big football fan though (yep the Seahawks), like soccer, and I do like watching the Olympics.

This is the first year I don't have Kansas winning it all in about 20 years. (I get a little rose-colored when it comes to my Jayhawks) But, this year, I have Pitt.
(I am trying a bit of reverse psychology, though, because Kansas has a tendency to bail in the first two rounds too often.)

It's so strange to live somewhere that basketball is a curiosity. Everyone knows Tony Parker, of course, because he's French, but other than that, it's a novelty.
I'm a Big 10 girl, born and bred -- daughter of a Boilermaker, born halfway between the Hoosiers and the Fighting Irish (who are not a member of the Big 10, but when you live close enough that they interrupted network television to report that Digger Phelps had indigestion, well, you sort of have it ingrained), went to high school up the road from the Illini, and married a Badger...so I'll root for the Big 10 in every last bracket.
My only exception to this rule is my Big East alma mater South Florida...who never has much of a chance, anyway.

My favorite is also my longshot. Come on Utah State. They also have an excellent Extension service that can help us in our gardening.

Re: NCAA basketball starts today..
Hey, I am loving it....even if my bracket is already decimated. I haven't lost any bigguns yet.....check that Vandy just lost and I think I had them winning twice.
That Big10....err 11.....err 12 connection is crazy. I would root Big10, too. And with USF, you always have football. You guys had a good couple of years there.
Funny, to me, that the Big10 now has 12 teams, and the Big12 now has 10 teams. But, NCAA is big business these days....it's not supposed to make sense anymore.
Good first day, and it's only half over. I assume tomorrow will be more of the same. Then, I come back to planet Earth and start working for my season. NCAA is always sort of my last hurrah for my winter vacation.

I am 4 for 6. However I have a soft spot for Old Dominion for some reason and they are out and I had them in 2 more games. Yikes! Not a fully broken bracket yet but tomorrow is always a new day. LOL
Well booger I am now only 5 for 8 and Vanderbilt is out who I had in two more games too. I am the bottom of our bracket pool.
