I have decided that since it is WAY to early to be starting seeds, (except Spinach, celery and lambs lettuce), I have decided to start flowers.
They are supposed to be started 8-12 weeks before last frost.
My last frost is May 1st. (OK, still a smidgeon early) happy2
So yesterday I picked up Hollyhock, columbine, Lupin, and poppy. All my favourites.
I have never had any luck with seeding flowers directly so this way I will be guaranteed plenty of attraction for bees etc etc.

This is my first winter back in the north and the wait is just killing me. lots o I think we got a foot of snow last night.

this is my first year, I guess I just figured that perennials are SOO expensive to get a really nice big area of them, and pretty cheap to DIY.

I have a greenhouse which will keep them from freezing, after I germinate them in doors.
