Boat Gardening
In England there are many miles of canals. These canals were built hundreds of years ago, even back in Roman times, and especially during the industrial revolution. Some of the canals and their locks are only 7 feet wide. As a result, the boats are restricted to that width and are known as narrowboats. One of my cousins and her husband own and live on a modern version of the narrowboat. That does not stop her from having a garden onboard the boat. Mrs TD and I hope to sail with them later this year.

There are wider places for passing.

Re: Boat Gardening
I texted my cousin and asked, "How do you navigate through those narrow channels without destroying the sides of the boat?"SQWIB wrote:Dam, how do you pass someone is it a one way or does it get wider in areas.

She answered that her husband is, "... very good at steering but if the wind catches you I’m afraid it’s inevitable lol! The pictures you can see just happen to be on the lock and an aqueduct."

Narrowboat
My husband and I have been watching YouTube videos about narrow boat adventures in England. Looks like it would be a fund thing to do.

I haven't been logged in for a long time. So I don't believe we have met. I used to garden, then my husband took over and well, just like there can't be two cooks in a kitchen... But I keep an eye on posts that could help him produce our food - when he's in the mood to listen to me. LOL!
