I ordered some soft neck from Territorial and they arrived in about 4 days! They have their own 2' x 4' bed that they can stay in for as long as it takes to be really ready for harvesting. I am hoping that next summer will be a bumper crop of both tomatoes and garlic.
Is it too late?
I have a quick question for the Boston Area gardeners. Is it too late to pland garlic in this area? It's supposed to be near 70 this Friday, 4-NOV, and we just had our first windshield scraping frost.

Boston, According to the article, mulching keeps the soil cool. Something I will try this time as we have relatively warm spells during the winter.

I am in northern Ohio and I am planting this weekend. I always plant the weekend after Halloween! Do it, such a great crop and food to grow!!!!

Just to re-start this thread, I have been busier than a dog staying at a flee convention, and the cold has not helped much. I went outside this morning, the ground is still frozen about an inch under the surface.
I was going to plant my garlic today, the temps are supposed to get into the 50's lots of sunlight, maybe by the the end of the day...

All my fall planted garlic came up again. Seems like garlic loves the Cape.
