Re: What are you eating from your garden today?
Really? My romaine is still looking good. I'm about to bring it in and see if I can keep it going all summer in the house. My pak choi bolted, however, so it's been scratched from the team for next year.sanderson wrote: For those who have lettuce growing, you are lucky to have it in June. My winter lettuce bolted over 2 months ago.

I munched a couple of sugar snaps and picked this French Breakfast radish for Hubby (Happy Father's Day from the garden).

A few strawberries, sugar snaps, and just made pesto, used my garlic from last year and a bunch of basil...might make basil chicken and pasta...

Mint & basil pesto, and wild mustard & bolted bokchoy, all in a chicken sherpherd's pie. Followed by rhubarb pie. My DH loves all pies, so this was his Father's day dinner.

Savory Zucchini Bread. Never made bread before but this came out pretty good. Put a sliced tomato on top of one piece and it was scrumptious.

Re: What are you eating from your garden today?
Nothing save for some canned yellow wax beans & home made tomato sauce as part of tonight's salad & BBQed meal .
We got invaded with millions of aphids late last week anything green in the veg was covered in them so I resorted to Resolva bug spray and have to wait for seven days for it to be safe to eat anything out the garden .
I tried to use soapy water to kill them off but they just asked for a bath sponge & some mood music to go with it .

Re: What are you eating from your garden today?
new season garlic pulled two days ago , new season onions that had started to bolt , also pulled 2 days ago .
In a chicken slop one pot dish with ant egg pasta ( well they look like ant eggs & I can't remember the name at present ) . The garlic was very strong .
After several days of low temps not much above 9oC , we had a sharp minus 5 oC air frost in the early hours of mid June for about 5 hours , it zapped a lot of the half hardy annuals and by the look of things has triggered a lot of the alliums into thinking it is their second growth year by the looks of things .
