Hi Folks,

I used Miracle-Gro Water Soluble All Purpose Plant Food. Does that make me a bad person? pale

Go and sin no more! Actually, I used it once or twice when I made my first Mel's Mix in 2013. I made it wrong and the plants ground to a stop. Embarassed

I used the MG and immediately started on the quest to make the perfect home made compost.

I have no good compost for this first year, and my soil is store-bought junk, so I have to use Miracle Gro or watch everything wither and die. This fall I should have a real composting system, so next spring I should have black gold for my beds and the Miracle Gro can go back to the flower beds where it belongs. I get it free, so I'd rather use it than throw it away. Rolling Eyes

If anyone can absolve you of your perceived sin it is your plants! They will be fine! Learn, take lots of notes, and move forward! Eat well!

I used it on some of my seedlings this year. They were starving and seriously needed to be up-potted, but I could not make time to get it done right then, and used the fertilizer to give me an extension.

I use Neptune or urine in pinches like this.
