Canadian Tire
Canadian Tire
So I've been searching online for sources of the MM components, and lo and behold good ol' Canadian Tire seems to have everything I need; Vermiculite, Peat moss, cow & sheep manure and a general garden manure. Just a matter of figuring out my needs...

Re: Canadian Tire
Marc ... is that vermiculite from Canadian Tire sold in large bags and is it the large chunks of vermiculite? Sometimes the box stores only sell small bags containing only the smaller sizes of vermiculite. Small bags are most likely going to cost more considering the amount you will need. I get my vermiculite from a place called Ritchie's Feed and Seed. They have three outlets in the Ottawa area. You may want to check with a nearby feed and seed store or large nursery to see if they sell the required size and quantity. Hopefully the stuff at Canadian Tire will be what you need.

TD, I'm not sure, haven't been out yet. I don't believe it's a very big bag. I've yet to check the big nurseries.

Re: Canadian Tire
I just order the 4 cu.ft bags from my local nursery. They are happy to order in as they know that it will not hang around their nursery taking up space.
Re: Canadian Tire
Great to know, thanks. I hope to go soon
