RT'. I got these this year, had a lot of difficulties finding my pole beans to pick in years past just because they blended in until they were huge and not so tender (Kentucky Wonder, very prolific ). I had grown a purple pole once before (Royal burgundy?). So thought I would give these a try!

I will keep you posted!

I must add, though, the first purple pole was from either WalMart or KMart. Something burgundy......cooks up green.

Thanks Scorpio,
I will look for those locally, but unfortunately, I don't multitask too well and right now I am working on trimming out my boxes. With that said, I haven't started looking for seeds or put together a plan, but I am thinking I need to if I want to have anything to eat this year.

I have a boat load of Rattlesnake Pole beans if you need any.  Some were purchased in 2014 and some I collected from my own plants in 2015.

In addition to a regular bush zucchini, I grew Table Dainty zucchini this year.  I chose it because it was described as a vining variety, not a bush. It is. It climbs. Most of this is the zucchini vine:

I harvested the first one today, cooked it up, and ate it. It is good, firmer and no hard seeds vs my grey zucchinis at about the same size. (Yes, that's a cucumber vine on the trellis to the left.)

I got my seeds from Baker's Creek: http://www.rareseeds.com/table-dainty-s/
I don't especially agree with Baker Creek's description..."Delicate little fruits, like a short, six-inch zucchini, striped in green and yellow to white. Abundantly produced on somewhat compact vines." I suppose the fruits are delicate compared to baseball bat zucchini and I maybe the vines are compact vs some other sprawling monstrosity... and I don't know why they say "like a zucchini" either.

I love being able look under most of the leaves easily, so I can pick off the squash bug nymphs and cuke beetles. I'll be growing this one again next year!
