Two empty squares... Empty Two empty squares...

Post  giant_trainer 6/3/2014, 12:44 am

I have two empty squares nestled among my garlic, lettuces and peppers and am looking for ideas on what to plant.  I was thinking Okra but how many can I get out of two plants??  Maybe some more bush beans??

Do you like eggplant?  1 per square.

Kay

I see you already have some eggplant, but have you ever tried the Ichiban Eggplant?  Long and thin and I find they are tastier than the others. They are prolific, very low maintenance and like being in the middle of the garden. Many people who are not all that fond of eggplant like them. We use them in sauce, roast them and of course Parmesan. I also think the plant itself is very pretty. Or do you have any Rosemary? Low maintenance, smells great and good for insect control. Both are 1 per sq.

You might be surprised by how much you could get off two okra plants, they are very productive. If you like it like my family does two won't be enough to satisfy you lol but it would give you some to enjoy.

Or like Lyndeeloo suggested Ichiban Eggplant, they are very productive and yummy. Or like you said, bush beans would be another good option. Green onions, husky cherry or patio tomato (they both stay small). Good luck deciding!
