Bad news / Good news
Bad news: Looks like I may have lost more than expected... Waiting till tomorrow to take a good hard look. I'll give it a chance to recover today.
Good news: I can rethink some on what goes where on the trellis. Do I REALLY need 4 bottle gourds? Or maybe can I plant some more cantaloupe for DH?
It's a good thing I'm an optimist! But the grass is cut, the compost put on the pile, the covers are off the beds, and a cantaloupe baby is peeking out. Onions, peas, lettuce, carrots, corn, spinach are all okay. Some watermelon okay. Tomatoes, gourds, beans??? Tomorrow!

Two old sayings comes to mind .
Experience is expensive .
When your experience has cost you enough , you can consider yourself an expert
I bet you guys & gals remember Uncle Jack Frost 's untimely visit and act accordingly .
