Hi-jacking because of the Title of Topic.
Got my tongue back. This is what husband and I did last night:
10 Gallons of free produce at Farmers' Market
Plus 5+ gallons of Starbucks. I had to reserve the grounds at 2 close-by Shops. Competition from 2 other collectors at those shops!!

Wow five gallons at Starbucks? That's a nice compost starter!
Great job, landarch! I'd love to get into that someday too.

Marc, I'm the one who scored 5 gal at Starbucks and 10 gal at the Farmers' Market. And took 2 Advil at bedtime.
Landarch is the talented one in the kitchen.
Yes, making your own compost is encouraged. Tiny back yard, but I found a 3' diameter area to build a round compost cage.
Is this thread off topic from original poster??

sanderson...you scored with the market produce. I get garbage bags of grounds from Starbucks about every day.
round two of pickles and salsa tonight.
funny...I walked through a big farmers market this morning in KC and nothing compared to my homegrown cukes...and the peaches are in, major league yummy.
