Something is wrong with my peas. The leaves are turning yellow. The yellowing started at the bottom of the plant and is working its way up. The spinach, lettuce, and onions surrounding it look fine.

Nothing higher than 85 degrees. The grape vines along the fence even shade them a bit. I noticed out of the 16 I have planted, 2-3 had no yellowing and looked fine. See the bottom of the 2nd pic is one of the pea plants that looks fine and is much bigger than all the yellow leaved plants. Weird, right?

I am curious, is this a new bed? what have you got for compost in there? also, what variety of peas did you plant? What have you done to try to correct the problem?

I see the sometimes in pea plants and is one reason I usually sow more than the recommended amounts of seeds.

Yep, new beds, 1st year. Compost is a mix of zoo brew (compost comprised from cafeteria food remnants, zoo manure and bedding, brewery salvage, pet food remnants, yard trimmings & coffee grounds) and barnyard cafe (includes manure from farm, coffee grounds, yard trimmings & paper).

The peas are Lincoln peas. I havent dont anything to them yet. I havent been home. On hand I have seawood fertilizer that I could try?
