Yellowing Leaves - Nitrogen?

Hi Everyone! I hope someone out there can help me, this is my first SFG and so I'm pretty new to everything. I planted my garden about 3 weeks ago and everything looked great until about a week ago. I noticed the bottom leaves on my snap peas are turning white/brown and dying, and now I noticed a pepper plant has bottom leaves that are turning yellow. Any ideas as to why this is happening or any suggestions for a remedy? Thank you much! -Angela

If you can post pictures, it would give a better idea of what is going on.

Are your peas touching the soil at all or showing signs of pests? They are real prone to aphids, June bugs and slugs right now. Some pea varieties have natural whitish markings that develop on the leaves as they mature.

As for your peppers, depending on how mature they are....almost all seedlings will have their first leaves turn yellow and die off as their true leaves emerge. If you are noticing general yellowing and slowed growth, it's more likely to be a nitrogen deficiency. What's your soil makeup? Any other reason you may think it is lacking or over-abundant in certain nutrients? Any other plants showing symptoms?

Ditto if you could post a photo that would help us all out with a diagnosis. The bottom leaves are the oldest ones and may have reached old age and are no longer viable. you can leave them, they won't hurt anything. Is the rest of the pea plant looking good?

As to the pepper plants, they like it warm. Yellowing could be from a variety of things. Post a photo when you can.
