Hi all,

My SFG is still limping along. It's doing a bit better lately, but it's getting pretty late into the growing season so I'm not sure how hopeful we can be for much of a harvest this year. A few plants haven't sprouted at all, others sprouted and stalled at an inch or so high. The peas were nice and productive. Everything else is somewhere in between, but no where near harvestable.

I have noticed that many of my plants have yellowing, limp-looking lower leaves. Someone earlier mentioned yellow leaves might be a sign of nitrogen deficiency. Any other ideas on causes / solutions? I should mention that I don't seem to have the darker green veins like Shoda posted in her photos of iron chlorosis.

I'll try to post some new photos on the weekend so you can help diagnose.

I now have my worm composter up and running and I am confident that with my worm castings I'll have better luck next year.

It could also just be the lifecycle of the plant. As it grows and no longer needs the lower leaves they die off.

Hi,seem to have the same problem with all my plant leaves turning really pale green and yellowing. This started at the bottom of the plants so I took off those leaves now it's the whole plant specially the pepper and cucumber plants. They don't have green veins the color is uniform through out the leaves they have tons of blooms on them and producing fruit but the color just keeps getting worse.Earlier this week i added a table spoon of Epsom salt in a circle around the bottom of each plant .A few days later i put a scoup of worm casting at the base of each plant right before a really strong rain storm that totally watered them in and today i gave them a bath of fish emulsion while the soil is still wet cause I read that plants take it in better when the soil is wet. This evening I noticed the edges of the leaves on one of my pepper plants are darker but the insides are still pale Everything is growing well and blooming like crazy except my okra and cucumbers but they are still small.Rough start battling birds eating my sprouting plants now lots of empty squares that were once filled and now having to pick tons of army worms that keep eating my tomatoes and the leaves of the onions. Not giving up yet just worried things just keep turning yellow even the arugula are going from green to a weird redish color.Figured that might be due to the weather getting hot. Thanks in advance for any help.
