I had peas for breakfast
I had peas for breakfast, I had peas for breakfast, I had peas for breakfast... can you hear the little song I was singing in my head and dancing to? I didn't even know there were little peas on the vines yesterday and couldn't figure out why the dogs were hedging the vines from inside the dogyard... then this morning, I leaned closer and thought... what is THAT funny-shaped leaf? It's a PEA! And there is another one.
And I ate them ALL, every last one.
The dogs pouted. Or thought I was nuts. They are not far off. My first SFG, my first breakfast-out-of-MY-garden standing in my bathrobe and my slippers. Hopefully not my last.

Congrats on your garden peas! There is no comparison to the taste you get when it's fresh from your own garden. We have pods forming and should have some in a couple days - unless I get impatient and pick a few to eat with the pods.
We just had our first baby beets with greens a couple nights ago.
Woo hoo - we gardeners get a natural high from such things!

That's awesome!!! My kids keep eating my red leaf lettuce that I have in a 2x1 box on the porch every time we go outside.

Nothing like fresh peas. And as soon as it warms up a bit, I will be out there in my bathrobe, garden clogs and with a cup of coffee in my hand. throwing rocks at the squirrels
