Where I live, southern Virginia it's very hot and sunny and nylon cord rots before the summer's end, leaving me a mess. Tried a wax coated cord that worked very well but someone gave it to me and can't remember where he found it. Any ideas?

I use sisal twine.

I also use twine and it has never failed me in the garden. I think it looks better because it doesn't stand out like a bright white type of string but instead just blends in with the garden. I also use the twine for my grids.

*Except for the time I ran out of twine and had to use pink string; which you can see in my picture to the left.
