Elevated garden boxes

I have been square foot garden for 4 years but recently I had
major back
surgery and have much difficulty working at ground level.
Thus I am
very interested in raised patio/garden boxes that won't easily rot,
however, I have 4
cold frames 42.5" x 41.5', because of uneven terrain,
adjustable legs would be more compatible - and am looking for someone near
Blair County, PA who might build cost efficient solid raised garden boxes to
accommodate these cold frames to fit snugly that will last for several years?

Anybody out there know of anyone who can help?

Sorry about the back issues, I have the same back problems. I had been doing row gardening and knew I couldn't do that anymore. My husband and I made raised beds this spring using 4x8x16" cinder blocks. We stacked them two up so my raised beds are 16" high. It has been working very well for me. Good luck with adapting your garden beds to raised beds. It is well worth the effort!

thank you for the suggestion, I'm looking for special boxes to hold my 42.5" x 41.5" cold frames.

Can you post pictures of the boxes and the terrain. Somebody might have a suggestion that you can pass to a carpenter.

One option is going to a small metal fabrication shop (welding shop), and having table frames built from angle iron with adjustable legs (angle iron is probably the cheapest; square tubing or pipe might look better). Tell them it needs to hold the weight of two grown men. From my own experience, I would use 0.125 by 1¼ or 1½ inch.

If you use the forum's search feature on the top left of the homepage, and enter 'table tops', you'll find different ideas for how to make them. Being able to garden while standing up is a wonderful thing!
