Slow Foods USA Ark of Taste
I came across the "Ark of Taste" page on Slow Food USA - these flavorful foods are endangered and recommended for saving - all sorts of foods (I don't think I can have bison in my neighborhood!) I do plan to plant some of the beans that are recommended for my area, and I'll try some of the other veggies that are recommended for the midwest (I'm on the cusp of the plains and the mountains.)

Nice. I am please to say I am growing 9 heirloom tomatoes and three are on their list. But none of my heirloom beans are. Hmmm.
