I'm so excited to find you. My husband & I will be trying square foot gardening for the first time this year. I'm also going to try to start seeds indoors. Almost time. Any other members from Ontario?

I haven't read the new book yet, truth be told I haven't read the old one either. Wink I've learned all I know (which is just that I want to try) from surfing the net. I'm planning on picking up the book this weekend and need to read fast, as I need to plant my seeds at the end of March. I'm in Zone 4 and can't usually plant in the ground until after the May long weekend (May 24th)

Welcome to the forum. I think you'll find that SFG is the way to go. I began in 2009 and haven't regretted it. I get lots of food goodies and get some much-needed exercise (but not too much) and its good for me. Gardening in the spring, summer and early fall and quiltmaking in the winter.

There are several Canadians in the group. I'm just south of the Canadian line and have a little longer growing season.

If you have a question, just ask. Someone is bound to have an answer. Enjoy.
