My garden in January in So CA
Here are some pictures of my garden taken today.
![My garden in January in So CA Bed1_110](https://i.servimg.com/u/f46/16/16/41/47/bed1_110.jpg)
This it my first bed with tomaotes still producing in the back. Also have red sails & romaine lettuce. The grids I have started putting in with the most recent plantings. This time the carrots did not come up. There is also garlic and potatos planted in this box. In the back (upper left corner of the picture) you can see my neighbors new row garden of strawberries.
![My garden in January in So CA Bed2_111](https://i.servimg.com/u/f46/16/16/41/47/bed2_111.jpg)
This is my 2nd bed, using a old security door as a base (we have gophers). This one has broc, carrots, lettuce and garlic. The width is odd, around 30". So far I have only done the grid in one direction.
![My garden in January in So CA Ttbed110](https://i.servimg.com/u/f46/16/16/41/47/ttbed110.jpg)
This is the TT bed I just made and haven't put the grids on or planted yet. The base is also an old security door.

Thes 2 pictures show the top & bottom of a security door like I used for the 2 beds. It is very heavy. I screwed the boards right to the frame. This will be another bed. I just have to figure out if I want it to be a tabletop or on the ground.

Pototoes newly planted in an old wjheelbarrow with craks in it that I lines with hardware cloth. The panel on top is to keep the dogs out til I decide where to put it in a fenced area.

Ha! Row gardens. How quaint. I am impressed that you have tomatoes that did not succumb to freezing. Did you protect them of did you just dodge the bullet?

I did nothing and am surprized they are still producung & still have lots of flowers. We had a pretty hard frost here a few nights ago and they still look ok. I haven't done much pruning the last couple of months. The trellis's are on the north & west sides. The north sides of the plants are a bit more bare with some possible frost damage.
The one potato that had green leaves showing died back after the frost. Hope it comes back.
At least the rows look better than a field of weeds like that field has been for many years.

Lindacol, Your garden looks wonderful! I love the idea of the security doors, especially for the TT garden. I only wish it was warm enough here to have plants producing. It was in the high 60's today, but was 26 when I was driving to work last Mon. morning. Brrrrrr

Nice idea, using the security doors as bottoms for the beds.
I also like using the cracked wheelbarrow with a lining.

They are the last of the Trombocino Rampicante squash. I pulled the plant a couple of weeks ago to make room for my new bed.
