Well the SFG garden at the Clearbrook vocational day program that my son Vinnie attends is going strong. We currently have 9 pepper plants, a tomato plant and an Armenian Cucumber plant growing in a 4X4 raised SFG. Vinnie and a few other clients take turns watering and reporting to the Friday 1,2,3 Garden Club about what they are noticing in the garden area. We are also successfully growing potatoes and Jerusalem Artichokes in separate re-purposed peat bags.
This week the club will turn over the compost pile and add some newspaper to the pile. Then if time permits we will construct another raised bed out of cinder blocks and fill the bed with Mel's Mix.
Temps have been all over the chart. High, mid 90s during the day, mid 70s at night. Two weeks ago we were worried about frost!!
My son Vinnie convinced me to make a few YouTube videos with him this week... (Dadoosgarden).
I have to admire his tenacity. He has no fear of failure when he wants to try something.

Re: DadoosGarden
Dadoo,
It sounds like the 1,2,3, Garden Club is having success in their gardening endeavor.
It's great that they will be working not only in the garden, but creating compost to feed the garden. All kids, regardless of ability, need a goal and a plan that will allow them to get there. Thanks for leading them in SFG.

It sounds like things are working out according to plan.
Its nice that the garden is getting off to a good start now that the weather has settled.
Congrats.
