IT"S RAINING
IT"S RAINING!!!
I'm so happy I could cry.
So dry this year down our way. You know it's dry when the swamp catches fire.

Re: IT"S RAINING
We're have a huge rain storm up here. It hasn't been so so dry but it's a desert and we almost never get this kind of rain. It's been wonderful. It's a full on flooding of the streets, dance in the warm summer kinda rain, while the lightening flashes. :o)
Glad I'm not the only one enjoying the smell of fresh rain fall!

Re: IT"S RAINING
I was thinking my neighbors must think I'm nutty. I was out earlier putting buckets under where the eve is leaking to catch the rain and then just standing in the garden, it's in the front yard, watching the rain and getting drenched with the biggest smile on my face.
It is nice to know I am not alone.

It's raining!
Rain? What's rain? Anyone from southern New Mexico? We are on rationed water down here. We are permitted to water on Tues, Thurs and Sat. I have several 5 gal buckets near my TT gardens. I fill them up on my 'water' days and use it to water my TT's on the 'no-water' days. Hey, it works!!

We got a good 15 minutes of rain Thursday afternoon. We were outside from the first drop to the last! And my FB feed exploded with locals all talking about it, lol. It's been a DRY year for us, too. Find myself hoping for a hurricane ![IT"S RAINING 491](https://2img.net/u/2912/12/27/03/smiles/491.gif)

Re: IT"S RAINING
0.92" of rain in under 15 minutes on Friday in the greater new orleans area. Some of my plants doubled in size from that good natural non-chlorinated stuff. I was wishing for some tropical moisture last year too(and not just for the overtime). Unfortunately all the early information(Dr. Gray) says that texas, florida and the east coast will be getting them this year /sigh.
Year 2 of SFG, year 2 of below average rainfall. It probably is my fault somehow

Re: IT"S RAINING
Would like to let you borrow some of ours! We have had 3/4" every day for the last three days! And we were not in a drought to start with! Farmers were going fast to work the fields during the week after it finally dried out enough. They knew the rain was coming again. Generally if the corn and beans aren't in the field by May 15 it is too late. In one week Iowa went from 9% planted to 82% planted. Farmers get going when they get a chance!
Of course about the middle of August we need our rain back![IT"S RAINING 889526](https://2img.net/u/2912/12/27/03/smiles/889526.gif)

We have been having rain here in Southern Ontario, Canada since Friday night. No let up until Wednesday at the earliest. Just planted my early crops on Thursday night. I actually had to tarp the garden this morning, otherwise all my hard work would have been washed away.

I hear you on this! I've been covering what I've been building since May Day. We've had rain every couple of days since then.

Re: IT"S RAINING
We got over 2" in the past week. Of course, since I'm in Nebraska, it also came with a little hail. Fortunately, it was "little" hail so other than a few "Swiss cheese" holes in my spinach, all is well. My tomatoes and peppers are still under their milk jug shelters so they did just fine. Yesterday, my brother brought me two 55 gal plastic barrels for rain collection for free! Yippee! Looks like rain is back in the forecast on Thursday so hopefully I can get them ready in time to catch something!
