eggplant--low of 46
I have an eggplant (black beauty) recently transplanted into a container outside. Overnight lows have been around 70 the last few days but may dip briefly into the 40s tonight. Is that cold enough that I should move it inside, or maybe just put a tomato hoop and a blanket over it to keep it a little warmer? This is my first year growing eggplant but I understand it is a little more sensitive to cold than tomatoes and peppers.
Thanks for your help!

Re: eggplant--low of 46
Eggplant is a warm-weather plant.
If temps drop below 50* I would cover the plant well or bring it inside if its in a moveable container.
Don't let it get too cold or it'll be setback in growth.

Thanks Quiltbea. It has been close to 50 the last couple nights so I covered it to be safe. We're warmed back up now and it looks happy so hopefully all is well! I appreciate the advice.
