Great job to everyone who worked on the DB. Hopefully I will have some seeds to share one day.

Re: NEW DATABASE FOR SEED EXCHANGE PLEASE READ
I this new spreadsheet!!!
I never bothered to post the seeds IHA before because the thread was just too combersome. As soon as the spreadsheet went live, I posted all of my extra seeds and they are half gone already!
My hubby loves that I'm having a good clearout of my extra seeds. Little does he know that I'm getting more in exchange!
Great job KT!

if you click on "seed exchange spreadsheet".
(I think).

It's still there! My two pictures on the first page of this thread aren't helping? The unvisited link color is the same as the text color. You do have to be logged in to see the second picture.

Loving this new database! I was one who never got around to using the old threads, but this is great! Listed a bunch that IHA. Now, if I could just find the scrap of paper I put my "wishlist" on...

I agree, it's great! Thanks to everyone who has responded to my requests, I hope that next year I am posting IHA and returning the favor!
Re: NEW DATABASE FOR SEED EXCHANGE PLEASE READ
The old threads have been removed! Please put your IHA and ISO seeds in the new database....

Re: NEW DATABASE FOR SEED EXCHANGE PLEASE READ
There has been a column added tot he seed database....if you have listed seeds wanted or seeds you have for exchange please go in and update your listings with your country. Thank you!
We added the column to help folks follow international shipping and postal regulations on seeds and other plant material.
Thank you! Sorry for any inconvenience.

Great work on the spreadsheet. I added a ISO. I will add my seeds when I have a sense of what's extra. Thanks, Erica

Re: NEW DATABASE FOR SEED EXCHANGE PLEASE READ
Would you guys prefer that we remove our entries when we get a seed that's on our ISO list, or would you prefer that we leave it there and put a line through it? I did the latter, but it seems like things could get pretty cluttered with lined out text if everyone does that.
Re: NEW DATABASE FOR SEED EXCHANGE PLEASE READ
For the ISO seeds, just delete your post. No need to keep it there if you've found it.
Everything else is strikethrough, unless you know that you will not have that seed again. If you are a buyer of the seed quite often, this shows that you're just out for the season and that you may have more next year.

A timely BUMP! Go to page one of this thread for the link to IHA and ISO seeds.

Re: NEW DATABASE FOR SEED EXCHANGE PLEASE READ
For those of us that had previously listed seeds that we had available, it might be a good idea to go in and update your lists, whether you need to strikethrough or delete any items.

Since I'm a newb...
I just love that we have a seed exchange!!
However, would it be possible to put a simple and clearly written post and *sticky* up at the top of the "seeds and plants" forum with instructions on how to use the spreadsheet? (Thank you BOFFER and KIMBERTANGLEKNOT, and middlemamma!).
Namely: How it works (is it exchanging seeds for seeds, or just sending some to someone who needs them?), how to post the link to PM yourself in the database, as well as what certain abbreviations mean (ISO, IHA, etc) and quick explanations/abbreviation meanings for GMO, hybrids, heirlooms and open pollinated?
Also general rules regarding things like strikethrough vs deleting, and brief instructions as to finding the tabs at the bottom of the page.
I got kind of lost (I think I got it now but had to do some google/SFG forum searching) to figure it all out...I don't know if would be too much work to have a simple sticky for newbies like me?
All in all it's a great, easy to read spreadsheet.... I just needed some clarifications for me to "get it". Just my two cents
Now off to catalog and offer up some of my seeds!

I just moved the Welcome/Instructions page to the beginning of the spread sheet.
It will answer a lot of your questions.
