Shipping Cost for SFG Course
Hi all. I am in the Republic of Ireland, and am interested in buying the SFG certified teacher course, which as I understand it, comes on 2 or 3 cd/dvds. The course is a reasonable $81, BUT then the shipping charge is a further $30. Is postage really that expensive in the US ? I queried this by email on 3rd January, and asked if the course was available as a download, but have received no response. How do others feel regarding an almost 40% mark up for shipping?

Re: Shipping Cost for SFG Course
Shipping is astronomical here in the US...I don't know how much the package weighs that they ship out the course in, but I just sent seeds to our neighbor Canada and it was $2 and not even 2 ounces.
Anytime our shipping goes over seas it is highly expensive. I am sorry for the cruddy news about the shipping....but it probably isn't the foundation trying to make a buck, but rather insure that the package gets to you safe and sound.

Re: Shipping Cost
I have now received a reply from the SFG shop. Please do not misunderstand the reason for my post - the intention was not to accuse the SFG foundation of doing what many people appear to do on a well known auction site and make a killing from postage and packing - it was more to highlight the horrendous cost of the US mail :!:
The long delay in replying was down to the fact that the shop runs on one staff during the quiet season, and I fully understand that.
Apologies if the original message is ambiguous and open to misinterpretation

Re: Shipping Cost for SFG Course
For the shipping to be that much, I'm guessing it's either going out as express or with insurance, as the enormous box of Christmas presents my mother-in-law sent wasn't too much more than $30.
Ask them what the options are...I'm pretty sure there's a cheaper option.

I have asked and there is a cheaper option. The shopping cart is set up for the 'top of the range' shipping option by default. I have now placed an order
