Same for me, my very first garden ever is going to be a SFG! Just getting plans together for it now. Clearing my garden plot and finding stuff to building boxes and so forth.
Good luck!!

same here like i posted on vicki's post, i might use a couple of those bi-fold doors the wife bought at habitat. plus i have a lot of 8-12in pine logs 6-8ft long not sure if the pine sap will hurt or hinder the plants but i can make one and find out an post the results later. i have an old book case down stairs somebody used one once i might try that too.

I don't see a problem with using pine logs for the sides of your boxes. Most folks are using pine boards. Pine logs will have some pine tar (sap) present, however, it should not cause a problem with your mix.
Depending on what the book case is made of, true wood or sawdust and glue, it should work for a least a couple of years.
God Bless, Ward.

Hi boog! ![greetings from south/central michigan Action-smiley-030](https://2img.net/h/i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp259/flowerfriend/smilies/action-smiley-030.gif)
Glad you joined us on the SFG forum!
My neighbor went to the saw mill where they cut lumber from trees, they give away slabs they cut to square up the tree for cutting the boards, it has the bark on one side, but it made great SFGs and it was free!
