I harvested more veggies today.
I'm having such fun with this garden. I harvested more crops after the rains of yesterday.
Left to rt: lettuces on the left and some not showing in the photo, in the colander there's broccoli nibs and parsley, then our 4th zucchini and Swiss chard.
This is a Freemont cauliflower and some Kale.
I have only 2 cauliflower left and its getting too hot for them so I hope they head up a bit more so I can harvest them. I've removed all but 2 of the broccoli plants that bolted and have 2 from which I am still getting nibs.
The cabbages are under insect barrier and doing well.
I'm eager for the tomatoes, cucumbers and melons now.
This is one of the Rose tomatoes, still green but gaining in size.
I've got to plan on putting in cool-weather crops now for fall.
This has been a bountiful year (my 2nd in SFG) for me with an early start. I never had fall crops before so this will be a first.

Re: I harvested more veggies today.
Very nice cauliflower. I'm going to try some as a fall crop. What type of zuke is that?
Re: I harvested more veggies today.
Dixie...I think that is a Bush Baby zucchini, they have stripes and don't grow as large as Black Beauty.
The cauliflower stays pretty much white but to be sure it stays blanched, I pull the leaves up around it when its about 4" across and clip with a clothespin to keep off the sunlight.
This is one as I start to pull the leaves up around it to clip.

Re: I harvested more veggies today.
gorgeous stuff!
Tonight is the first night we are serving produce from the garden - a salsa made with our cucumbers and tomatoes, and a dish garnished with miniature red and green bell peppers.
But I did just tell a lie - we have been serving stuffed zucchini blossoms for a few weeks now.
