Garden Layout Software
OK...so I admit it...I'm an aging nerd. The lot is very odd shaped and there are little gardens in 4 or 5 places. It would be really kewl to have a plan that shows the whole property but I am just not very good with a pencil.
Any recommendations for a computer tool?

I know you have some beds with angles. Use graph paper with the light blue square markings to draw the beds? Ruler, pencil and a good eraser! Once you have drawn the boxes and dotted in the squares, you can photocopy it each year or season.
I know there are plot plans on the web but I don't know the names of the sites. Can anyone remember what some of them are?

Re: Garden Layout Software
There are a ton of apps and I suspect new ones coming on line everyday. Best to google, best of the best gardening apps and take a look at them. Since I now have a smart phone I may take a look at a couple to see if it would help in taking notes through the gardening season. Many are free. I did download a few apps last year while taking the Master Gardener course to help identify plants and trees. Never had much interest in identifying shrubs or trees for that matter, interested now and getting better at it. You take a picture and then open the app, click on the picture, then the app gives you a list of possibilities and asks you if this is it. I would then go online with desktop to verify one of the possibilities. The first time I stood there and laughed for a few minutes because if I knew I wouldn't need the app. I did have a classmate and she used hers all the time and the more she used it the more accurate it became.

Found Something that seems to work
Hi All,
So I fell for the free trial and ended up signing with growveg.com...not sure whether I will use it for year 2 but it did help lay out my two complicated gardens and plug in plants in square foot grids. I'm not a salesman for them so look it up if you are interested, but better for vegetable raised beds than the rest of the pack.
