Amazing frozen lettuce...kohlrabi
Yesterday I open my cold frame windows and forgot to close them last night, this morning when I arose it was 24 deg F and everything was frosted white. Going out to my cold frame I saw everything was flat to the ground and covered with white icy frost.. ( wish I took some pics but I didn't ) This afternoon every thing looked back to normal..
see pictures.

Has55 had posted a video the other day talking about this. The guy said to just make sure that your plants are defrosted before you go picking tonight's supper.

Jimmy, Your place (profile pic) looks great! And the plants look wonderful!! I'm glad they survived!
I've just been asking what others in my area, Phoenix, are doing during our freezing nights! I'm new to this and need a great deal of help! I'm thankful for the wealth of help and info here!
Just curious, what are the 'pots' around your plants and what purpose. I was just reading about Horseradish and it's ability to spread. Are you containing roots or is there some other benefit?
Thanks and keep warm!

Hi CotheK
Glad your with us, you'll enjoy it, I'm sure.
If your referring to those containers surrounding my plants, they are section of nice grapefruit containers that I cut up and place around plants when planting. At first, I did it because I felt good doing it, now I am finding other good reasons.
Great for watering, water gets into the area that is needed, keeps some crawling pests away also. in one case it has kept one of my oregano plants nicely contained, ( photo ). I think it helps make things neat looking, and god knows I need help along those lines.
